I would only listen to the radio on Sundays, Country stations only. It reminds us of how when we were growing up, mommy dear would always play WMZQ Saturday nights and after church. If you haven’t noticed my songwriting is heavily influenced by Country, especially when it comes to story telling. The difference between listening on the weekend and listening on the weekdays is that they play more oldies during the weekend. Hint reminding us. I haven’t really paid much attention to what’s current (I’m officially a Taylor Swift fan but that’s for another blog), so I sits through the songs instead of just flipping back to catch an oldie on the weekdays. I heard this Rascal Flatts song “Here Comes Goodbye” and I was like cool, I like these dudes when he hit the high note on “and she was right here in my arms tonight” lmao I hit the brakes. Forget the lyrics for a moment and focus on the notes. The imagery that popped in my head at the moment was beautiful. I can’t really explain you’ll just have to listen for yourselves. Matter of fact I’m just going to do a pastel of it, so you guys can see it.

Two thoughts that’s been on my mind lately.

Any song of mines that sounds like a love song with me pleading is usually a song about God.

“Cause you are all that I’ve waited for, for all of my life” – from the song below. It’s past tense. Meaning you truly inspired me and I don’t think I’ve ever told you. Everyday it’s like I discover a new reason of why I love you, told you it grows. I still have to tell you what I realized about you, if I get the chance haha.
