Salvation is my all time favorite song by Citizen Cope

I guess I’ll start off by saying this is the only current up-to date Hip Hop release I purchased this year. I heard the CD prior to purchasing. I didn’t sit with it well enough to form a valid opinion, though, off the back the song that stuck with me was “Up Up & Away”.

Maybe it’s because it’s the last song on the album or maybe it’s because you could hear Cudi letting out his exhastion in the “I’ve finally made it to the top, now it’s time to cartwheel down this mountain and do it all over again”…

What I really enjoyed about the album was the music. Thanks to Chris I’ve been a Ratatat fan for a while now (check the song ‘Time to Spare’ on my mixtape)I love just about everything they do and “Pursuit of Happiness” is a really dope song. I feel like the music stole the show and Cudi was merely a feature.

There’s a couple songs I skipped ( Enter Galactic the f*** cudi? lol)but my favs are
